Changing your ringtone
Your BlackBerry 8700g™ has five notification profiles: Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, and Phone Only. You can enable the appropriate profile depending on your environment. The Profiles icon on the Home screen indicates which profile you have selected.
To change the ringtone, perform the following steps:
1. 	At the Home screen, scroll to the Profiles icon and click the trackwheel.
2. 	Scroll to the desired profile (Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, Off) and click the trackwheel.
3. 	Click Enable.

Changing your profile ringtone
You can set your BlackBerry 8700g™ to uniquely notify you of appointments, incoming messages, calls, and browser contents. You can create a new profile that specifies which sounds and volume to use or edit one of the existing profiles.
To change your profile ringtone, perform the following steps:
1. 	At the Home screen, scroll to the Profiles icon and click the trackwheel.
2. 	Scroll to the desired profile (Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, Off) and click the trackwheel.
3. 	Scroll to Edit and click the trackwheel.
4. 	Scroll to the desired event and click the trackwheel.
5. 	Click Edit.
6. 	Scroll to Tune and click the trackwheel.
7. 	Click Change Option.
8. 	Scroll to the desired tune and click the trackwheel.
NOTE: You can set additional profiles at this screen.
9. 	Click the trackwheel again to open the menu.
10. 	Scroll to Save and click the trackwheel.
11. 	Press the Escape button on the side of the BlackBerry 8700g™ to go back to the Profiles screen.
12. 	Make sure the profile that you have just changed is highlighted.
13. 	Click the trackwheel, and then click Enable.
